Due amiche del Mariello sono venute a trovarci direttamente dal Japan... terra lontana che noi adoriamo in tutte le sue espressioni...( letteratura... arte... cucina...) e che speriamo di poter visitare al più presto!!! Ayako e Yukiko si sono fermate da noi per 2 giorni...Nella prima foto ci troviamo a casa dei miei genitori dove il mio Papy Claudio ha voluto strafare dimostrando di essere un grande chef con un menù superstrepitoso...(antipasti freschi, lasagne fatte in casa e peperoni saltati in padella.. mentre come dolce abbiamo gustato fragole con la panna e strudel di mele con salsa alla vaniglia il tutto sapientemente annaffiato da un buon vinello bianco DOC)
Nella seconda foto ci troviamo invece sulla "Torre Apponale" di Riva del Garda (se avete tempo fateci 1 salto perchè la vista del lago e del paese dall'alto meritano davvero la scalata dei 165 gradini)...Il tempo nonostante le previsioni nefaste non è stato poi così pessimo come temevamo ed abbiamo avuto tutto il tempo necessario per passeggiare tra i monumenti e gli ulivi con perfino 1 piccola puntatina in traghetto a Limone!

These last 2 days Ely and I had 2 guest friends from Japan, Ayako and Yukiko. They are from Tokyo, but they love Italy and this one was their 5th visit here. We met in France in 1998 for the first time, when we were all university students and we were attending an economy meeting about the Euro currency. We have always been in touch since then and this time is the second time that we have met in Italy. Ely and I really enjoyed their company and had again the accasion to learn more about Japan, a country that we really would like to visit and that we find fascinating and exotic. We hope to have the occasion to visit Japan in the near future...Thank you Ayako and Yukiko for the time spent together and for the very nice gifts. xxxoooxxx
