Last weekend we went to Venice for the Carnival. It's kind of a tradition for us to go to Venice for this event and it's always fantastic. The celebration in Venice is different than all the other Carnivals in Italy. It reflects the old spirit and the solemnity of the magnificent architecture of the city mixed together with the ambiguity of some masks, the Casanova's 16th century style and an irreverent goliardic atmosphere. The day was beautifully sunny, a very anticipation of Spring. We couldn't resist to sit down outside a cafè and drink an expensive espresso in a broad warm sunlight. Here is our day in photos. Enjoy!
